Bugs Bunny at the Symphony

Posted on  January 23, 2013

Celebrate 20 years of Bugs Bunny on the concert stage!

Forget the cartoons of today—show your kids the classics (along with listening to some amazing scores by a live symphony orchestra)! Head to the Chicago Symphony Center and experience Bugs Bunny at the Symphony! This world premiere season and anniversary concert celebrates Warner Bros. cartoons on the big screen with their exhilarating original scores played by a special guest symphony orchestra!

Celebrating 20 years of Bugs Bunny on the concert stage, this brand new edition of Looney Tunes and live orchestra adds classics like Home Tweet Home and A Scent of the Matterhorn, plus special guests from Tom and Jerry in The Hollywood Bowl and The Flinstones and Scooby-Doo. Don’t miss these, plus old favorites like What’s Opera, Doc? and The Rabbit of Seville.

“None of this should have been a surprise to anyone who really knew Bugs Bunny,” creator and conductor George Daugherty said. “Because if ever there was a rabbit born to play the great concert halls and opera houses of the world, it is this rabbit. He sings, he conducts. He plays piano concertos. He can play the harp AND the tuba and dance both ballet and the Irish Jig with equal abandon. Sometimes simultaneously.”

Bugs Bunny at the Symphony is a Symphony Center Presents Special Event.
