Castle to Coast Run

Posted on  January 16, 2013

Enjoy 8.2 miles of beautiful ocean view running.

What’s more beautiful than an ocean view when you’re on a run? When you participate in the Castle to Coast Run, you can enjoy 8.2 miles of the beautiful ocean views along the California coast.

The route will begin at W.R. Hearst State Beach following Highway 1 South. In Cambria, take Moonstone Drive and Windsor Road, and the run will finish at Shamel Park.

Shuttles will be provided for transport back to the start. The entire course will be well marked and plenty of enthusiastic Cuesta volunteers will be there to monitor. Water will be provided at the start, 4 miles and the finish, and bathrooms will be at both the start and finish. Refueling will be provided at the end of the race (bread, bananas, recovery FLUID and water). Runners and walkers are welcome within two hours of the run’s start time.

This year’s race will have some amazing giveaways including an assortment of performance goods for men and women of all ages and sizes. And the top age group placers will receive hand-carved wooden whales!

Registration ($25) includes the 2013 edition Castle to Coast t-shirt. A portion of the proceeds will help support Cuesta College XC.

According to the Castle to Coast website, registration is full.
