Destination Food Tour Presents Taste of Santa Monica

Posted on  July 9, 2013

Explore Los Angeles’ favorite beach town!

Destination Food Tours’ Taste of Santa Monica invites guests to “Come hungry and ready for a fun time”, as they experience the best beach town in Los Angeles.

Taste of Santa Monica is a three-hour culinary exploration where guests experience the best food and wine the town has to offer.

Some of the stops on the tour include a Spanish tapas bar, a restaurant that serves only raw food and gourmet gelato. The tour is sure to “wow” any guest’s palette.

Don’t be fooled by the name, though. The Taste of Santa Monica is about more than just food. Destination Food Tour’s philosophy of combining history, culture, food and people is on display as guests learn about the history of Santa Monica, discovery some of its best kept secrets, as well as experience the unique culture this beach town has to offer.

The Tour Menu includes

• Bar Pintxo
An authentic Spanish tapas bar right here in Santa Monica. The moment you walk through the door, the smells, sounds and tastes will transport you directly to Spain. Known for delicious tapas, Spanish wines, beers and meats and cheeses to go.

• Border Grill
The women behind this upscale modern Mexican cantina have gained quite a name for themselves. Chefs Mary Sue Milliken and Susan Feniger are know at Bravo as “Top Chef Masters” and Food Network as the “Too Hot Tamales”.

• Hosteria del Piccolo
Inspired by the ancient proverb, “eat less…taste more,” guests will experience eclectic foods, with truly amazing flavors.

A completely “raw” restaurant! MAKE is sure to amaze even the meat-eating non-believers, featuring cutting edge plant-based cuisine by chef and author Matthew Kenney.

• N’ice Cream
The perfect way to end a food tour of Los Angeles! Organic homemade gelato or sorbet made daily is sure to please every pallet.
