Fight Hunger with Broughton Hotels of Chicago

Join Broughton Hotels of Chicago on National Peanut Butter and Jelly Day this April 2nd as we attempt to make 10, 000 PB&J sandwiches in one hour. Sandwich assembly will take place from 3:00 to 4:00pm with tables set up on Brompton between Pine Grove and Lake Shore in Chicago. Finished sandwiches will be donated to a variety of Chicago-based organizations.


The Broughton Hotels of Chicago staff is not new to making sandwiches on a mass scale. Each of our three properties participate in a monthly event, making 100 sandwiches to distribute to those in need. Building 10,000 sandwiches in one hour is a much more ambitious goal, but with help from the community we’re confident we can reach it!


We’re inviting local organizations and businesses to assemble teams of their own to help in this project. All participating businesses and organizations will be recognized for their efforts. Also, if you are or know of a facility or group that currently accepts sandwich donations in the Chicago area, please let us know.
