Harvest Festival Original Art and Craft Show

Posted on  September 20, 2013

The Harvest Festival Original Art and Craft Show is a fun way to see some great original pieces of art as well as have a great shopping experience. This year over 24,000 pieces handcrafted by artists and artisans will fill the Anaheim Convention Center.

There will be between 225 and 350 artisans at the festival, so make sure to check out the online Artists’ gallery to help make your shopping experience as efficient and enjoyable as possible!

Some examples of the types of work that will be available for purchase include:

  • Jewelry
  • Clothing
  • Photography
  • Wood
  • Ceramics

Along with the main attraction of purchasing quality custom works of art, the addition of live entertainment makes this event even more fun! Powerhouse, a group that combines elements of various percussion-based dances into one unique show, along with Brady Goss, a singer/pianist, will be performing on the main stage throughout the festival. There will also be “strolling entertainment” in the form of HyJinx and Fables of the West.

“Should I bring my children?” Yes, kids 12 and under get in to the festival for free and there is even a kids’ zone, hosted by Macaroni Kid Irvine, where kids will get to make arts and crafts for free.

Attendees will also have an opportunity to win great prizes!  Make sure to fill out a Grab Bag Drawing form and bring it to the festival. Two winners, of $50 to be spent at the festival, will be picked daily! A Grand Prize of a Randy Polk designed ring and bracelet will be chosen at the end of the Festival’s tour in December.

The festival also gives guests plenty of opportunities to contribute to great causes. Knots of Love, a non-profit group that knits and crochets hats for chemotherapy patients, will benefit if you buy a Harvest Festival shopping bag for $1.00.

You can also donate a non-perishable food item to the Second Harvest Food Bank of Orange County, and you’ll also receive a $2 admission discount.

If you just can’t get enough of the harvest festival don’t miss the festival coming to Pomona in December.
