Support the arts in Calistoga and have a great time doing it!
Why do people enjoy garage sales so much? One word, potential… there might be a hidden treasure in the boxes, crates and coat hangers of stuff someone else wants to throw away, that’s the true allure of these types of events.
Add to that the fact that the cost to obtain these valuable items can be just the change in your pocket makes attending them an addictive hobby. Well treasure hunters, get your fill of value seeking at the Cedar Street Festival, a fundraising event featuring a 3/4 mile stretch of rummage sales with proceeds benefiting a great cause. Also… there’s dancing!
What is it?
The Cedar Street Festival is an inaugural fundraising event established to benefit art education in the Napa Valley. Along with the impressively long rummage sale, it will feature live music, dancing, face painting and family art activities. So get into a bargain-hunting mood, but don’t forget to bring your dancing shoes!
The event’s organizers are passionate about the importance of art for developing young minds “Exposure to the arts for children deepens the quality of their world and in particular the developing young mind and spirit.” Says Robert Marvin one of those involved with putting on the event.
