Celebrate! Napa Valley at the Napa County Fair & Fireworks

celebrate

An opportunity to sample the culture of the wine country in a casual festival setting.

Have you ever wondered what it’s like to experience the wine country with the entire family? Celebrate! Napa Valley, taking place July 3-7 in Calistoga, is the perfect event to sample the culture of the wine country in a casual festival setting, showcasing five days of food, wine, art, music and more.

“Celebrate! Napa Valley is a place you can come with the entire family, but still experience what Napa has to offer. Napa County is rich with the finest wine grapes and wine makers in the nation, fine olive oils, artists, photographers and a culture of fresh food prepared both at home and in wonderful restaurants,” explained Carlene Moore, CEO. “It is a family event with plenty of free activities for the kids, while parents and grandparents can still enjoy a glass of wine.”

When guests visit the Wine Pavilion, they can stroll among the vintners from the valley and sample a wide variety of wines, all while enjoying the beautiful sounds of blues guitarist, Maxx Cabello, Jr. The Wine Pavilion will also be home to the Reds, Whites & Blues tasting event on Friday, July 5, where visitors can enjoy the taste of Napa Valley’s best red and white wines.

The Napa Valley Building will feature chef showcases, olive oil tastings and daily culinary contests, in which any home cook can enter.

On Saturday, July 6, firefighters of Napa County will compete in the Firehouse BBQ Challenge. Guests will sample their way through stations and enjoy ribs, chicken, brisket and tri-tip. The winning recipe will be awarded the Golden Grill. This friendly competition is in partnership with the American Red Cross, and all proceeds will benefit all participating Napa County fire associations.

If you want to take a break from food and drink, visit the fine art and photography exhibits, also held in the Napa Valley Building, which will be available for purchase. Artists will be demonstrating their talents all over the fairgrounds, and visitors and their families are invited to create their own Make & Take art project in the Art Center.

Held at the Napa County Fair & Fireworks, there will be plenty of celebrations during the Fourth of July at Celebrate! Napa Valley, including a parade, games and a Fireworks Spectacular.

Don’t think this is a snooty affair—the Napa County Fair & Fireworks has plenty of “once-a-year” fair food and carnival rides.

As you can see, this isn’t your typical fair—you’ll just have to see it for yourself. Make time in your schedules this week and visit Celebrate! Napa Valley!
