Beer Week 2015
This year’s theme, “Chicago: A City of Neighborhoods”, highlights the diverse personality of the city of Chicago. What better way to get a feel for the unique culture of each neighborhood than by trying their beer? Craft beer week gives microbreweries a chance to showcase their craft and lets beer drinkers get a feel for all the awesome brews Chicago has to offer.
Beer Week’s main feature is the taste tests available across participating venues, which will be offering samples of featured beer for $4 a glass. Another key part of the week is series of special events that give attendees unique ways to try beer, see behind the scenes and meet the people responsible for the craft beers. Some of these events include “Beer Under Glass,” a unique tasting session at the Garfield Park Conservatory, which has a glass roof, and “Firestone Walker: Meet the Barrelmaster,” which gives guests the opportunity to meet the man behind some of their favorite beers.
