Sweets and Snacks Expo
The Sweets and Snacks Expo is an annual event put on by the National Confectioners Association, a snack food industry favorite, This year’s expo takes place May 22-24 at McCormick Place’s West Building and will feature over 850 exhibitors and almost 18,000 attendees including grocers, wholesalers, convenience store proprietors and more. Chicago Beer Classic
Iconic Soldier Field will once again host The Chicago Beer Classic. This year’s tasting event takes place on May 5th will showcase 64 brewers ranging from national favorite Sam Adams Brewery to lesser known local craft beer gems such as Illuminated Brew Works and Hopothesis Beer Company. Tickets for The Chicago Beer Classic range from $55 for general admission, which features 48 2-ounce samples and a signature tasting cup, to $96 for a VIP ticket that includes additional perks like early entry to the event and exclusive VIP seating. Lincoln Park Wine Fest
If beer isn’t your drink of choice, the Lincoln Park Wine Fest, also this May in Chicago is a great alternative. May 18-20 this annual event will return to the Lincoln Park neighborhood (specifically Jonquil Park) for its fourth year and will feature live music, food and wine pairings, and of course plenty of wine samples. Over 90 wines will be available for sampling during the event and tickets include 12 tastings. Ticket prices range between $20-$85 and can be purchased at Lincolns Park Wine Fest 2018’s Eventbrite page.
