Chicago Restaurant Week 2015
Ever visit a city but just can’t seem to get your fill of local food? If only there were “come try our food holidays” where you were specifically encouraged to focus on a destination’s food. Well, you’re in luck because Chicago’s annual “restaurant week” brings that fantasy to life. Chicago Restaurant Week is an annual celebration of Chicagoan cuisine that offers visitors and natives alike the perfect opportunity to appreciate the city’s food!
The 8th Annual Chicago Restaurant Week takes place January 30th through February 12th and will feature over 250 restaurants throughout the city of Chicago.
A Fun and Tasty Tradition
For almost a decade restaurant week has continued to grow and improve. Last year’s week was the most successful ever with 301 participating restaurants serving over 435,000 guests. The 2015 edition is in the perfect position to reach those high standards again by extending the week to 14 days. There are just too many great places to eat in Chicago to limit to one week.
Choose Chicago, the city’s tourism and marketing organization, is responsible for putting together Restaurant Week each winter. But what exactly does the event entail? Besides providing recognition to the great places to eat, participating restaurants offer fixed price menus of $22 for lunch and $33 or $44 for dinner during the event. These special prices make it the perfect time to indulge.
How to participate?
There’s no special ticket or registration needed to attend restaurant week, just come to Chicago! While anyone can attend the event, reservations are encouraged since the city’s restaurants are bound to be filled up! Plan ahead for the best possible experience.
