Cinespia: Outdoor Movies in Hollywood
The decline of drive-in movies is probably one of the saddest things to happen to the American summer. There’s just something magical about watching movies outdoors.
While it doesn’t quite offer the nostalgia factor of a true drive-in, an event called Cinespia in Holywood offers fun outdoor movie screenings in throughout the month of July. These screenings include a variety of classics and it’s hard to beat their festive atmosphere for spending a summer night in July
Cinespia’s outdoor film screenings take place at the Hollywood Forever Cemetery, a historic southern California landmark. Doors for each screening open at 7:15pm and the show starts at 9pm.
Here are the screenings that will be a part of Cinespia this summer!
July 3rd – The Goonies*
July 4th – Top Gun*
July 11th – A Hard Day’s Night
July 18th – Grindhouse (Death Proof + Planet Terror)
July 25th – Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory (1971)
* These screening will include fireworks after the show.
