Festivals Coming to Monterey

Food, music, art, you name it- in Monterey, there’s a festival for it. Throughout the entire month of May, festivals and fairs will take over the Monterey area, and you don’t want to miss them! Check out the details below.

 

Winemakers’ Celebration   

On Saturday, May 5, join renowned winemakers and wine-lovers for the annual Winemakers’ Celebration. At this event, guests will celebrate over 100 different wines from Monterey County while enjoying the views of Carmel-by-the-Sea. Tastings will take place from 1 p.m.- 4 p.m. and will include the rare opportunity to discuss the wines with the winemakers themselves. Regular tickets are $75 and VIP tickets are $125. Carmel Art Festival

The 25th annual Carmel Art Festival will return to Monterey County this year May 18 – May 20. The event includes all things arts, including sculptures, painting competitions, art activities for children, live music and more. On Thursday and Friday, sixty plein art painters will converge from around the nation to compete in a painting competition. California Roots Music & Arts Festival

The California Roots Music & Arts Festival will return for its 8th year this Memorial Day Weekend, May 25 – 27. Located at the Monterey County Fair and Event Center, this three-day event is packed with plenty of live music performances, great local food, artwork and sustainable practices. Over 45 bands and musicians will perform across three stages, featuring plenty of reggae. Three-day passes are $220 and one-day passes are $100.
