Halloween Horror Nights Return to Universal Studios

One of the most terrifying and beloved events returns to Studio City’s Universal Studios this September: Halloween Horror Nights. Think: Your favorite and most feared horror movies brought to life via mazes and immersive experiences. Yep, it’s as scary as it sounds. Horror lovers, keep reading…if you dare.

What is Halloween Horror Nights?

On select nights from Sept 13 – Nov 3, Universal Studios transforms into a world filled with screams, monsters, gore and everything else nightmares are made of. Visitors have the chance to experience some of the most haunting moments in film and television history through 10 (new this year) spine-chilling mazes. This year, Universal also has five new scare zones, populated with terrifying creatures awaiting your arrival. Halloween Horror Nights are open select nights (mainly weekends) from 7 p.m. – 2 a.m. Here is the calendar of available dates. General admission to Halloween Horror Nights ranges from $67 to $102.

Can I See the Mayhem Earlier?

We’re glad you asked! Universal Studios is actually hosting its annual Fan Preview Night on Thursday, Sept 12 from 7 p.m. – 1 a.m. If you’re extra eager to see this year’s setup, grab tickets for $69 to Fan Preview Night. What’s the point? You’ll be among the first to encounter the 10 mazes, inspired by popular horror shows and movies. Preview Night-goers also have exclusive access to themed photo opportunities with the scareactors and specially themed food and drink for purchase.

Grab Your Leg Warmers

Visit Halloween Horror Nights on a Thursday for a special Throwback Thursday experience. On Thursday nights only, Universal pays homage to the ‘80s with features of ‘80s horror films and music. Scareactors and live bands will provide the entertainment for the night. Costumes are encouraged.
