Jazzin' at Chicago's Shedd Aquarium
This evening of drinks, views and music takes the term ‘party animal’ to the next level. Enjoy the balmy night air in the company of good friends and 32,000 aquatic animals at the Shedd Aquarium. Every Wednesday during the summer, ending on September 13, the Shedd Aquarium welcomes the public to sip on great cocktails and take in the scenic lake views and Chicago skyline with their fine-finned friends!
Even though the warm summer nights will come to an end soon, you can enjoy them while they last! On September 13 from 5pm to 10pm, cool drinks and smooth jazz at the Shedd Aquarium are on the agenda for the evening with three of Chicago’s most swingin’ artists to guide you through the night.
Rio Bamba will be at the North Terrace Main Stage and will have you tapping your toes before you know it. A unique blend of samba, American jazz, Latin beats and bossa nova, this group can get a crowd going. They move easily from Brazilian samba to classic swing and jazz, vocal, or instrumental music.
The Bob Davis Trio are serving up a heaping helping of R&B, Latin and soul. The guitarist and keyboardist are joined by another to make the trio at the Main Foyer at the Shedd.
You’ll be seeing double with the group Gray Matters. Twin brothers Wayne and Duayne Gray are a mixture of R&B, jazz, funk, soul, rock and classical music and have been inspired by the likes of Fats Domino. You can catch them at the Soundings Café.
