About The Taste 2016

From Santa Monica to Studio City, Los Angeles Times’ The Taste 2016 will showcase the area’s best food and drinks- all in one weekend, all in one place! Now’s your chance to watch celebrity chefs prepare their favorite dishes and renowned mixologists mix-up their signature concoctions, all while learning invaluable tips and techniques from the best in the business. Here’s what’s on the menu for Labor Day weekend at Paramount Pictures Studios:
Opening Night- Friday, September 2nd 7:30-10:30pm
Kick-off The Taste 2016 with The Times’ hosts Noelle Carter, Jonathan Gold, Jenn Harris and Amy Scattergood. Opening Night features a focused collection of tastings, distinctive cocktails and wines and the unique chance to mingle with many of the weekend’s participating chefs and mixologists. Music provided by DJ Scott Dallavo. 21 and over only.

Field to Fork- Saturday, September 3rd 11am-2pm
Join hosts Amy Scattergood and Michael Cimarusti and experience the amazing possibilities of fresh-focused dishes! Leading chefs display their mastery of cooking with locally-sourced Californian ingredients, featuring a full schedule of cooking demonstrations and seminars. Dinner with a Twist- Saturday, September 3rd 7:30-10:30pm
Hosts Jonathan Gold, Jenn Harris, Ray Garcia and Michael Lay provide you with an evening you won’t soon forget! Stroll through a movie studio back lot with a tasty cocktail, premium wine or your favorite spirit after indulging in the extraordinary culinary creations of the city’s best chefs. Sunday Block Party- Sunday, September 4th 11am-2pm
End summer with a delectable bang at the ultimate block party on a historic movie back lot. Flavors of LA- Sunday, September 4th 7:30-10:30pm
Learn what makes LA, LA! Explore an eclectic collection of the city’s best restaurants and most talked-about chefs with hosts Jonathan Gold and Pullitzer Prize-winning food critic Kris Yenbamroong. Parking for all events will be located in the Paramount Pictures Studios parking structures on Van Ness Avenue and N. Gower Street. Parking fee will be $13 and is cash only. If arriving by foot or any other form of transportation (Uber, Lyft, Taxi, Public Transport), proceed to either the Van Ness or Gower gate. NO PEDESTRIAN ENTRY WILL BE PERMITTED THROUGH THE MELROSE GATES. More information on parking and getting to the event can be found here.
