Plan Your St. Patrick’s Day Celebrations in Studio City

From Irish food and drink to authentic music and games, the Hollywood area will be packed with St. Patrick’s Day festivities this year! Take a look below at some of the exciting St. Paddy’s Day events and popular restaurants worth visiting while in Studio City this March.

Attend the Hollywood Block Party and Pub Crawl

By far Hollywood’s largest St. Patrick’s Day event is the Hollywood Block Party and Pub Crawl. The Hollywood Crawl will be on both Saturday, March 14 (for those of us that have to work) and Tuesday, March 17. Over ten different restaurants and bars, all within blocks of each other, will be participating this year. Early purchased tickets are $13 and regular tickets are $23. Redeem your tickets at St. Felix to pick up a wristband that grants you access and drink specials at the participating venues. Here are a few deals to expect:

Enjoy Authentic Food at JJ Sullivan’s Irish Pub

Travel down Ventura Boulevard into Woodland Hills and you’ll find JJ Sullivan’s Irish Pub. Snag a table or grab a seat at the bar to enjoy handcrafted Irish food and beer, poured by experienced bartenders. Expect this spot to be busy on St. Patrick’s Day, so arrive early. There’s also a pool table and music box for entertainment.

Listen to Irish Music at Hollywood Palladium

On St. Patrick’s Day this year, you can catch a free performance by Flogging Molly, with special guests Mad Caddies and Street Dogs, at the Hollywood Palladium. The show begins at 6 p.m. and you can RSVP here. In case you’ve never heard of them, Flogging Molly is an Irish-American Celtic punk band, originally formed in Dublin. Their music features lots of classic Folk instruments, like the tin whistle, accordion and banjo.

Book Your Stay at the Historic Sportsmen’s Lodge

While in LA, stay in Sportsmen’s Lodge, a hotel that has nearly as much history and glamour as the city itself. This hotel is known for accommodating some of the film industry’s biggest stars, like Katherine Hepburn and Clark Gable. A stay at Sportsmen’s pairs perfectly with a weekend of Studio City St. Patrick’s Day celebrations.

This year, celebrate St. Patrick’s Day in energetic Hollywood! And while you’re planning your festivities, don’t forget to book your stay in Sportsmen’s Lodge.
