The annual Santa Cruz Music Festival is back this spring from Saturday, March 10 to Sunday, March 11. Countless well-known and up-and-coming music artists will perform nonstop, filling venues all across downtown Santa Cruz. In addition to music, the festival will also include special events like yoga sessions, a bike party and comedic acts. As the event gets closer, attendees can download the Santa Cruz Music Festival app which includes a real-time display of all participating venues, along with times of performances. For more event details, check out this FAQ page.
Artists & Venues
Over 70 artists will be performing at this year’s Santa Cruz Music Festival, including headliners Mr. Carmack, Ghostface Killah and Mija. Featured genres range from rap to pop to electronic. You can view the entire list of artists on the festival’s website. With so many artists, it’s no surprise that the music festival will take place in 12 different venues, spanning across downtown Santa Cruz. Some of the larger venues include the Santa Cruz Civic Auditorium and San Lorenzo Park, while smaller venues like 99 Bottles and Woodstock’s Pizza will also be used. The festival website includes a map of all participating venues and will soon include a schedule of performance times/locations.
Passes range in price depending on which “tier” you decide to purchase. Tier 1 passes, aka the “Locals’ Pass” are $50 and only available to those over 21, granting access to these local venues: Motiv, The Blue Lagoon, Rosie McCann’s and Café Mare. Tier 2 passes cost $90 and grant access to all participating venues on Saturday and Sunday. For full details and to purchase your pass, visit this Ticketfly page.
Once your festival passes are secured and must-see performances are mapped out, it’s time to choose a place to stay!
