Stay Connected with Bluesmart: the World's First Connected Smart Luggage
Lost your luggage? Not a problem! With the Bluesmart connected carry-on bag you can track your lost luggage for the first time ever, anywhere in the world.
About the Company
Bluesmart Inc. is a technology startup company based in Silicon Valley, California. In October 2014, a group of serial entrepreneurs and engineers created their first product: the Bluesmart Carry-on. The company received more than 8,000 pre-orders from 110 countries around the world, raising more than $2 million. Bluesmart was named “Top Innovative Product and Service of 2014” by Forbes Magazine and awarded “Best Travel Gear of 2014” by FastCompany. Backed by Silicon Valley’s top technology accelerator Y Combinator, the company has offices in Mountain View, California and Hong Kong.
About the Product
Standing at 22.4 inches tall, 14.4 inches wide, and weighing in at 9.4 pounds, the Bluesmart bag is the perfect carry-on for your travels. The bag consists of two compartments: one hard compartment large enough for clothes and shoes and a secondary soft compartment full of organizer pockets perfect for your laptop or tablet. Connectivity is made possible using Bluetooth and GPS technology provided in partnership with Telefonica. In addition to tracking technology, the product is also equipped with a 10,000 mAh battery that enables the luggage to completely charge a smartphone 6 times over. Other features include a Bluetooth-enabled remote locking feature, a built-in digital scale, distance alerts and a companion smartphone app that allows users to track all their travel information. Compatible with iOS and Android, the Bluesmart Carry-on bag is currently working with Apple Watch to deliver an even better user experience.
A strategic partnership with Uber offers users the option of getting lost luggage delivered directly to their location, courtesy of an Uber driver. After tracking the luggage, the user can use the Bluesmart app to request a luggage recovery service. Bluesmart will then coordinate with an Uber driver-partner to retrieve lost luggage from any airport in the United States and bring it to the user’s hotel or home, free of charge.
For only $399 you can stay connected with your luggage, no matter where you are or where you’re going. Pre-orders are now being accepted with an expected delivery date of December 15, 2015: just in time for the holidays.
