Santa Cruz Clam Chowder Cook-Off

You won’t be able to resist chowing down on some homemade clam chowder during the 38th Annual Clam Chowder Cook-Off! Amateur chefs will kick off the festivities at 10 a.m. on Saturday Feb 23 and on Sunday Feb 24, professional chefs will end the cook-off. Teams will compete head-to-head to earn the bragging rights of “Best Clam Chowder” along with various prizes. You can take at a look at last year’s winners here. As one of the country’s largest and longest-running clam chowder cook-offs, this is an event you won’t want to miss. Admission to the Boardwalk is free and Tasting Kits for the event only cost $10 (sold at the event). Each kit includes 6 taste tickets, a spoon, cup and People’s Choice ballot.
