Come and see the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk transform into a winter wonderland with their new and improved ice rink and holiday lights! More details on the boardwalk, other Santa Cruz lights and a nearby hotel, below.

Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk Holiday Ice

The Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk Holiday Ice is a unique experience since this 40’ x 90’ outdoor ice rink is steps away from the beach. Ice skating in 70-degree weather is something unheard of, but not here in Santa Cruz. Whether you’re visiting with family or looking for a date night, the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk’s Holiday Ice is definitely worth a visit. The ice rink will be open, rain or shine, starting November 17. Admission is $14.95 per person and includes a 1-hour skating session, along with skate rentals. You can check out the ice rink schedule here. While skating, you can also enjoy the groovy party lights indoors, and holiday lights outdoors.

More Holiday Fun at the Boardwalk

In addition to ice skating, the Boardwalk will also be offering fun holiday festivities throughout November. Classic holiday movies will be projected on special nights and yummy holiday treats like s’mores and hot cocoa will be there too! At any time during the holidays you can also check out the boardwalk’s indoor arcades, play a game of mini golf or laser tag with your family and friends. And don’t forget to take a ride on one of the iconic amusement rides and explore the classic boardwalk games.

Other Santa Cruz Lights

If you’re looking to enjoy more breathtaking holiday lights and decorations while in Santa Cruz, then come aboard the Santa Cruz Holiday Lights Train. Offered November 23-24, don’t miss the chance to cruise down the city streets while singing holiday carols and sipping spiced cider.  Santa will also make an appearance and visit with the kiddos! The train departs right from the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk (convenient if you’re already skating there), and you can reserve your tickets here!
