Monterey’s 2019 Caramel Art Walk

On March 9 from 5 p.m. – 8 p.m., take a stroll through artist-owned galleries at the Carmel Art Walk. Meet the local artisans of Monterey and Carmel-by-the-Sea for free. Tour over 16 different galleries as you follow the blue lanterns through the city. Steven Whyte’s Sculpture Studio is one of the galleries on the tour. As an internationally known sculptor, Whyte’s work comes alive with his ability to capture fine details and character. For classy glass art, stop by K. Little Glass. Specializing in all things glass, this is the perfect place for workshops and live demonstrations. Be swept away by the sea with Delia Bradford’s iconic seascape paintings. Her paintings are lively and colorful. Be sure to check out the full listing of galleries and a map of the Carmel Art Walk before attending.

Visit the Monterey Museum of Art

Bhasker’s bold and colorful abstract art has been made well known in the expressionism field. Los Angeles native, Reuben Kadish’s exhibit will open Mar 7 as well. A fine mixture of Renaissance style, Surrealism and countless mediums makes the Reuben Kadish: Classic and Surreal a must-see. Take a look at the Monterey Museum of Art’s personal collection and their upcoming events as well.

The Dali Expo

You could say it’s “surreal” that Monterey has an exhibit featuring the country’s largest private collection! The Dali Expo includes over 580 works that include lithographs, etchings, rare sculptures and tapestries. It’s dedicated to Salvador Dalí, the famous surrealist painter, who called Pebble Beach his home during WWII. These works highlight the authentic life Dalí lead and his influence here in Monterey. The expo is open 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. every day and is open till 6 p.m. on Saturdays. Admission to the Dali Expo is $20 for adults, $18 for seniors, $10 for children 6-12 and free for five and under.
